Anyway, nothing’s wrong just moving some servers and it might take UPS a week or a bit more to physically get me the server in hand. Server’s been having issues lately and I’ve been silently routing code and VM’s away from hardware that’s failing onboard as if it were a Voyager probe.

Edit: We’ll be going offline when I physically unplug it. Which is only after I’ve taken a full backup. Which could take a while. This is well in advance, and a long time coming.

Forgive me if this all seems a bit faggy, but tonight I’ve been melancholily musing over a certain question, brought on by an old game re-gaining my attention lately from the depths of the YouTube algorithm

And if you would all indulge me for a spell, there’s a question I’d like to pose for everyone interested in answering it…or even discuss my own answer if anyone even cares about that. XP

So the question I pose is:

To be clear: what I’m asking for, is a game-maybe a whole series of games or a franchise-that you know had a very engaging premise and you know it could have been GREAT.

If not for the fact that it was let down…maybe it was bad writing, storytelling and/or worldbuilding…or perhaps the game mechanics didn’t mesh well together/wasn’t very fun to play.

Because lately, I’ve been reminded of my own answer to this question-which I would be happy to discuss at length if anyone is at all interested…

Keep in mind: it has to be a game from your CHILDHOOD, so no answering “HELLDIVERS II because of the Controver-SONY” or anything like that. If you’re young enough for that to be considered a “childhood game”, get outta here, you’re too young for this dark corner of the internet. >.<

For now though, I’d like to hear your takes on it: what’s your answer to this question, and why?

I’ve been getting really annoyed about some artists having an “artist upload only” DNP and yet they never upload anything again. Like Badumsquish and PapaDragon for example. They have DNP lists and they haven’t uploaded anything since whenever their last uploads. I get that artists are allowed to restrict their work from being posted if they want.
